Infrastructure Requirement for CBSE Affiliation Process

Classroom

A well-ventilated class of 8m.X 6m.(approximately 500 square feet), giving a floor space of at least 1 square meter per student shall be constructed or existed.

Composite laboratory

A composite laboratory for secondary and separate laboratories such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology for Senior Secondary respectively should be equipped with the area of 9m. X 6m. (Approximately 600 square feet).

Computer Lab

Computer Lab The school seeking CBSE affiliation should also develop the Computer Lab with at least 20 computers along with excellent internet connectivity,

Mathematics Laboratory

Mathematics Laboratory The school should have separate provision for Math Lab at least of the size of a regular class room. 8m.X 6m.(approximately 500 square feet)

Rooms for Extracurricular activities

Rooms for Extracurricular activities Either separate rooms for music, dance, arts, and sports, etc or one multipurpose hall of adequate size for all these activities.

Land Requirements as per CBSE Affiliation Norms

TYPE - I

Land requirements for premium cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Islands is 1600 sqm for secondary affiliation and 2400 sqm for senior secondary affiliation.

TYPE - II

Land requirements for Class X cities like Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Hill Stations is 2000 sqm for secondary affiliation and 3000 sqm for senior secondary affiliation.

TYPE - III

Land requirements for places like Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, J&K, Cities in municipal limits of : Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Mohali, SAS Nagar is 4000 sqm.

TYPE - IV

Land requirements for Cities With population above 10 Lakh is 4000 sqm.

TYPE - V

Land requirements for State Capitals is 4000 sqm.

TYPE - VI

Land requirements for rest of India is 6000 sqm.
